Sure the world wide web is great, but you, you make us salivate... Yes, we love technology, but not as much as you, you see... But we STILL love technology... Always and forever. Our love is like a flock of doves, flying up to heaven above... always and forever, always and forever... Why do you need us? Why do you love us? Always and forever...

Maybe one for Rob's funky cinema

How cool does the trailer for this movie look?

More building work to happen?

Going on from the story in Rob's post below (and without my rant in the comments) this seems like good news

The Med

Not wishing to draw attention away from my previous post, but folks might wanna take a look at this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/6068972.stm

[although I'd recommend cut-and-pasting the URL into your browser, cos some weird meta-internet stuff is happening when I try to interpolate it as a link, which kinda dilutes the potency of the point I'm trying to make...]

and send their suggestions in on a postcard or sealed envelope.

Harmonics

So...

(as Seamus Heaney might start, were he to blog...)

I'm not a fan of My Chemical Romance. But I would like to salute their enumerate vitues thus:

1: Brian May style melodic soloing. No-one else does that these days. It has a place, which is why people buy their records, I guess...

2: Eddie Van Halen style speed-picking hammer-on technique - mainstream pop hasn't had a decent dose of this since the solo to Beat It, and I'm proud of you for going for it.

3: Random mid-song time signature variation - the Mars Volta are better at it, but you guys have at least half a tune, so you can take it to the mainstream. Don't let us down now...

I want to hate these people and I suspect I am far from their projected demographic. Someone throw me a lifeline here....

Feel free to stone me any time.

People have probably seen this already but I thought I should post it anyway

Eespecially as it's so fucking brilliant. Seriously, rock albums and violence - has there ever been an animation that's so perfect for boys?

Jack Kerouc - great or goon?

Have any of you read "On The Road"? I'm about half way through and really can't understand what the fuss is all about. It's not bad but the character of Dean Moriaty is really pissing me off. I wanna find out where it's all gonna lead to, but can't say i'll rush to read his other works.
